Description

The 2007 1/2oz gold Eagle coin is the official gold bullion coin of the United States and had an original mintage of 47,002.

The obverse design features Augustus Saint-Gaudens' image of Liberty, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The reverse design of the American gold Eagle is by sculptor Miley Busiek, and features a male Eagle carrying an olive branch flying above a nest.

The US government guarantee the stated amount of actual gold weight in troy ounces. By law, the gold must be sourced from American mines.
