Description

A half ounce American Eagle gold coin to be minted in 2023.

The obverse design of the Eagle gold coin features Lady Liberty with flowing hair holding a torch and olive branch. It was originally produced by Augustus Saint-Gaudens for the US Mint's limited edition Double Eagle coins in the early 1900s. The recently updated reverse design features a close up of a bald eagle's head.

Like all American Eagle gold coins the 2023 0.5oz gold Eagle coin will be struck in 22-carat gold (.9167) and contain 15.55 grams of pure gold, it will be official legal tender in the United States of America, with a value of $25.
