A beautiful 2024 tenth ounce Australian Kookaburra gold coin. Featuring Australia's national bird the kookaburra, but with the design changing each year. The 2024 1/10oz gold Kookaburra has a face value of 15 Australian Dollars and contains 1/10 oz of pure 999.9 fine gold.
The Perth Mint are known for their attractive coin designs which change every year, and this 2024 Kookaburra 1/10oz gold coin is no exception. The coin depicts a kookaburra flying across a canyon with a snake in its talons, snakes are a surprising part of a kookaburra's diet and this one is about to suffer the unhappy future of being 'softened' against a rock or hard tree before being eaten whole. The design also includes the inscription 'KOOKABURRA', as well as the coin's weight, purity, design year, and a special 'P125' mintmark representing 125 years since the Perth Mint's founding.
