Description

A 2022 tenth ounce Krugerrand gold coin from South Africa's Rand Refinery.

The gold Krugerrand has been the premier global bullion coin since it's introduction in 1967. Thanks to its success the tenth-ounce gold Krugerrands were introduced in 1980 and have been manufactured with the same specifications and design ever since.

The South African 2022 1/10oz gold Krugerrand is minted in a 22-carat gold copper alloy making it much more resistant to scratches compared to coins minted in pure gold. Because of this the coin weighs more than a 1/10 troy ounce (3.39 grams) so that it contains exactly a 1/10 troy ounce (3.11 grams) of fine gold.
