The sculptor's initials, 'IRB', are visible at the bottom of the head.

The inscription on the coin reads 'ELIZABETH II.D.G REG.FID.DEF'.

Reverse: The reverse of the 2015 1oz Gold Britannia features the classic figure of Lady Britannia, designed by Philip Nathan, with the text 'NATHAN' at the bottom of the coin.
