2023 Yale of Beaufort Silver Coin Tudor Beasts 2oz

The 2023 Yale of Beaufort 2oz silver coin is the second bullion release in the Royal Tudor Beasts Collection from The Royal Mint. Like the Queen's Beasts series, the collection will feature 10 'Beasts', this time consisting of statues that line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court.

A 'Yale' is a mythical beast found in European mythology and the imagery was used by the Beaufort family during the fifteenth century. The black-coloured Yale (aka Centicore) has long and flexible horns, which can be moved independently of each other. It is the size of a horse with an elephant's tail. The Yale symbolises a proud defence.

The 2023 Tudor Yale 2oz silver coin is the second bullion coin to be released from the series, and contains two ounces of pure 999 silver. As with other coins from The Royal Mint, it is considered legal tender and is therefore exempt from Capital Gains Tax. The coin will be in production for several months until the next coin in the series is released, so collectors should purchase as soon as possible if they wish to get all coins in the series.
