BullionByPost is proud to offer numismatic collectors a growing range of rare collectable coins, including this rare 1834 Shilling featuring King William IV.

You will receive the actual coin pictured and your items will dispatched as soon as we receive your funds. For a more detailed view please hover your cursor over the image.

The coin states One Shilling and the year 1834 on the reverse, and bears a bare head portrait of William IV on the obverse. The latin Gulielmus IIII D.G. (Dei Gratia - By the Grace of God) Britanniar: Rex (King) F.D. (Fidei Defensor - Defender of the Faith) appears around the coin.

William was the last King of the Hannovers, reigning between 1830 and 1837, before being succeeded by Queen Victoria. He was the son of George III and younger brother of George IV, and inherited the throne by virtue of his brother's only child - Charlotte - dying aged 21 after a complicated childbirth.
