A special Proof version of the 1965 £5 coin was also minted in 23.5ct gold. Being the same weight as the 22ct coin - this version contains approximately 2.5g more gold and is noticeably more golden in appearance. This 23.5ct (98% pure) gold £5 coin features features the 3 Legged Triskellion in a shield and the portrait of Elizabeth II. Text reads 1965 QUOCUNQUE JECERIS STABIT and 1765 BICENTENARY OF THE REVESTMENT ACT 1965.
