The 2022 Seymour Panther 5oz gold coin is the first Proof release in the new Royal Tudor Beasts Collection from The Royal Mint. Like the Queen's Beasts series, the collection will feature 10 'Beasts', this time consisting of statues that line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court.
The Seymour Panther was gifted to Jane Seymour, the third of Henry VIII's six wives. The reverse of this coin was designed by David Lawrence.
This coin contains five troy ounces of pure 999.9 gold. As with other coins from The Royal Mint, it is considered legal tender and is therefore exempt from Capital Gains Tax. It will also be VAT-free as investment gold.
This five ounce (155.5g) coin is presented in a handsome presentation box and comes with a certificate of authenticity and full colour booklet. Thanks to it's impressive size, and higher striking quality, this is a great way for a collector to get a premium version of this coin.
