The Heraeus 100g gold bar is made from 24-carat Gold (999.9 fineness) by leading German refiners Heraeus. The bar is supplied with serial number and certificate in a handy credit card sized package.

Heraeus was founded in 1851 by the pharmacist and chemist Wilhelm Carl Heraeus in the town of Hanau, who took over his father's apothecary and used the premises to develop pioneering techniques for smelting platinum on behalf of the local goldsmiths. As time went by his company grew, expanding into other metals, medical technology, and quartz glass.
