This is the smallest denomination of Panda coin, and one of the smallest gold coins available to investors, making the 1g 2023 Panda coin a great choice for a gift, or budget-conscious investor.
The panda has always been an important animal in Chinese culture and a symbol of peace or good luck. As per tradition, the 1g Panda coin features the Temple of Heaven in Beijing on its obverse, and a new panda design on the reverse each year. This year's design depicts two young pandas in a tree; a younger brother extending a paw to his sister perhaps to help her. The coins design is by Tong Fan who has called the scene "accompanying love".
