The 2024 Australian Emu 1oz gold coin. The Emu coin was first issued in 2018, and has become another very popular coin for collectors in Perth Mint's growing range of animal-themed bullion coins.
The design on the gold Emu coin changes each year, with this year's coin featuring a solitary emu on the beach amid crashing waves and grassy sand dunes. These coins incorporates a micro-laser engraved letter, only detectible under a magnifying glass which makes counterfeiting significantly more difficult.
The coin is produced by the Perth Mint in 9999 purity with one troy ounce of gold, and has a face value of $100.
