A 2020 1/10oz gold Britannia coin with a face value of £10.00. Due to their status as British Legal tender they are exempt from capital gains tax (CGT). This coin contains one-tenth troy ounce (3.1 grams) of fine gold and is 999.9 (24-carat) gold.
Like all 2020 coins from the Royal Mint, the tenth ounce gold Britannia bears the fifth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II - a design created by their own engraver, Jody Clark. All Royal Mint bullion coins from 2015 onwards bear this portrait, which sees the Queen aged 88 and wearing the King George IV State Diadem; an item usually reserved for the annual State Opening of Parliament.
