This 22 carat gold coin features King George IV on the obverse, wearing a laureate wreath for a crown, and the traditional St George & Dragon design on the reverse. The laureate head Sovereign was issued by the Royal Mint from 1821 - 1825, and Benedetto Pistrucci's initials B.P. can be found at the base of the King's neck.
