1911 Gold Sovereign featuring King George V and the St George & Dragon design, as first introduced by Italian sculptor Benedetto Pistrucci in 1817.

Gold Sovereigns produced in Canada at the Ottawa refinery are very rare. Production took place in the early 1900s but less coins were made in an 11 year period than during one year of production in India.

The "C" mintmark denotes the Ottawa Mint in Canada, which later became the Canadian Mint following independence, while the initials B.M. at the base of the King's neck denote engraver Bertram MacKennal.

This Sovereign is provided in a protective plastic capsule.
