This magnificent gold coin is part of the official Olympic and Paralympic Games coin programme for London 2012 (minted 2010), with a special reverse design created by the eminent sculptor John Bergdahl. The coin is one of nine making up the complete Gold Series Collection inspired by the official motto of the Olympic Games: Citius, Altius, Fortius meaning Faster, Higher, Stronger. As part of the Faster collection, it features the iconic Olympic Rings and an image of the legendary god Diana representing the sport of Cycling. With a denomination of £25 and containing a quarter-ounce of fine gold, this 22-carat gold coin.
