A collectable, milled silver Sixpence of King Charles I. The 'anchor' mintmark indicates it was struck between the years 1638-9 - the second milled issue by Nicholas Briot. The obverse features the Charles the First late bust with falling lace collar, while the obverse has the square shield and cross extending to the to inner circle surrounded by the text 'CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO' (I reign under the auspices of Christ).
