A rare and 'eye-catching' silver Crown of King Charles I, dated 1645, and struck at the Exeter Mint during the civil war.

The obverse features the King on horseback riding left with sword in his right hand, and the mint mark of a castle above his head. The legend around translates as "Charles by the grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland". The reverse shows the crowned ornate shield of Royal Arms, a mint mark of a Castle and the date, with the legend translating as "I reign under the auspices of Christ". This coin is in around very fine condition, with an even tone, and represents an opportunity to acquire a scarce coin to add to any numismatic collection.
