A collectable grade, and attractive blue/gold multi-toned, hammered silver Groat of King Edward IV. This coin is of the "light coinage" issue, dated 1464-70. At this time the weight of silver was reduced from 3.88g to 3.11g in order to help the Royal Mint conserve silver. This coin features the mint mark "Crown" showing that it was struck in the year 1467 or 1468 at the Tower of London Mint. The reverse has the longcross with pellets at centre, and the wording for London mint. Notably there is only one "Quarterfoil" (four dots together looks like a flower) to the right side of the neck; as a rule coins in this issue should have one "Quarterfoil" on each side of the neck.

Obverse
Light coinage crowned bust within treasure, with fleurs at the cusps. NOTE: only one "QUARTERFOIL" by neck.

Reverse
Long cross and pellets CIVI TAS LON DON.
