A collectable high grade hammered silver groat of Elizabeth. On the obverse is a crowned bust of Elizabeth I facing left within wired line and beaded circle, on the reverse is a square shield with the arms of France and England inside a moline shaped cross. The text around the edge reads POSVI DEV ADIVTOREM MEV (I have made God my helper) and the cross crosslet mintmark above the shield indicates this coin was issued in 1560-1.
