A collectable hammered silver Sixpence of Elizabeth I with the mint mark 'martlet' (small bird) showing the coin was minted in 1560-1 for the 2nd issue. The obverse features a crowned bust of Elizabeth I facing left within wired line and beaded circle, and on the reverse a square shield with through cross, without date.
