A collectable gold hammered Double Crown coin - also known as a Half Unite - from King James I with the mintmark of 'Coronet' indicating it was struck between the years 1607 and 1609 at the London mint. The obverse features the fourth crowned and armoured bust facing right. The reverse shows crowned shield of royal arms representing England, Scotland, Ireland and France. This coin in about extremely fine condition, it has excellent bust details, the reverse with some excess gold in the legend. It is possibly ex-mount but this hardly detracts from the quality of this beautiful piece.
