A collectable milled Silver Shilling of King William III, dated 1696. On the obverse is the first bust, facing right, and the reverse features the cruciform shield of Royal arms for England, Scotland, France and Ireland. This Silver Shilling is in good very fine condition, and was struck just after the death of Mary, King William's wife, (the two commonly known as William & Mary) where King William continued to rule on his own for a further eight years.
