A collectable Silver Milled Sixpence of King William the Third dated 1697. On the obverse is the rarer Third bust of King William facing left with "B" below showing struck at the Bristol mint. The obverse features the crowned cruciform shields with the lion at the centre. The shields have the "late harp" and "Large Crown" variations for those collecting outside just the date ranges. King William continued to rule on his own after the death of his wife, Queen Mary in 1694. This coin struck in the year 1697 sees the end of the six year war with France that plagued King Williams reign.

Crowned cruciform shields with lion at the centre. Variation "late Harp" and large Crowns". MAG BR.FRA ET. HIB REX.
