Pre-Owned 1oz Platinum Bar

Pre-owned 1oz platinum bars offer the same platinum content as a brand-new bar, but at a lower price because they are second-hand.

Our pre-owned 1oz platinum bars are produced by major refiners including Umicore, PAMP, Heraeus, Valcambi, Johnson Matthey, Credit Suisse, Engelhard and UBS. As these are second-hand, we cannot guarantee which refiner you will receive as this depends on the stock we hold at the time.

These 1oz platinum bars are guaranteed to contain one troy ounce (31.1 grams) of 999.5 fine platinum, each stamped with its weight, purity and the manufacturer's logo. You get precisely the same metal as a new bar, with only the packaging and presentation differing. All of these bars are checked and tested in-house by our experienced team before being listed. As these are second-hand, they come without their original packaging and certificates.

Please note: having been bought back from our customers, these 1oz platinum bars may carry signs of previous ownership, including surface marks or blemishes. No two are identical, and both appearance and condition will vary between individual bars. None of this affects the intrinsic value of the precious metal, and nor does the absence of an original certificate. Our buyback rate is the same as for an equivalent new bar, based on the precious metal content. Collectors who want a flawless example should look at our new 1oz platinum bars instead. For investors buying purely for the precious metal, this is one of the most cost-effective ways to do it.
