The Edward Jenner 2023 UK £2 gold proof coin is a stunning collectible coin that pays tribute to the pioneering work of Dr. Edward Jenner 'the father of immunology' and discoverer of the first vaccine for smallpox.

The coin is created using two different types of 22-carat gold where the inner portion is yellow gold and the outer rim 'rose' gold giving an attractive two-tone effect. It has been struck to a proof finish giving it a beautiful mirror-like surface and a frosted design. The reverse of the coin depicts the smallpox cell, surrounded by icons of endless people representing the millions of lives saved. The obverse of the coin features the portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings.

The coin comes in a presentation case with a booklet recounting the life and work of Edward Jenner. With a limited mintage of only 150 pieces, this coin is sure to be highly sought-after.
