A 2013 Proof 5oz gold Britannia coin with a face value of £500.
The coin features the obverse portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley and the reverse design of Britannia seated and wearing a Greek helmet. An owl – a symbol of wisdom – sits on Britannia’s knee. The reverse was designed by Robert Hunt.
This proof coin is presented in a very luxurious and attractive box-set, with a numbered certificate of Authenticity issued by the Royal Mint. Limited to 125 sets.
Some red spotting evident on the coin as in pictures - hence a lower price than normal for such an impressive coin.
