Description

This Royal Mint box-set features 8 proof sovereigns for each year 1979 - 1986. These proofs has been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity. Complete with its own certificate, and bound in a good-looking case.
