Description

The 2026 Lion and the Eagle 1oz Silver Coin is a new bullion design from The Royal Mint that brings together two national emblems on a single coin design. The British lion is shown in confident stride, its mane rendered in fine, flowing lines, while the American eagle sweeps in above with wings outstretched. The composition balances motion and detail, presenting both figures clearly within the broad, polished field.

Struck as a one-ounce bullion coin in 999 fine silver, the reverse inscriptions set out the date, weight and fineness around the design. As a UK legal tender coin with a value of £2 it is exempt from Capital Gains Tax for UK residents.
