The 2024 Wedge-Tailed Eagle 1oz silver coin from Australia's Perth Mint are minted in 99.99% pure silver and weigh one troy ounce. This year is a special 10th anniversary edition of the coin.
The Wedge Tailed Eagle is native to Australia and is the continent's largest bird of prey. The design on this coin varies from year to year to keep the coin selection varied for collectors and investors alike. in 2024 the design by American sculpture John M. Mercanti features the eagle flying above us with the sun's rays spreading into a geometrically arranged background feature. The design includes the inscriptions 'AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE' and '10TH ANNIVERSARY' as well as a 'P125' mintmark signifying The Perth Mint's 125th anniversary. The obverse features the new King Charles III effigy.
