Description

The 2023 Britannia one kilo silver coin, containing exactly 1,000 grams of fine silver at a purity of 999 parts per thousand.

This is the first time that the classic Britannia silver bullion coin from The Royal Mint has been minted as a one kilo coin. Like its smaller cousin the 1kg Silver Britannia features the classic image of Lady Britannia design as well at the advanced security features that make Britannias some of the most secure coins in the world.

The obverse features the traditional portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by The Royal Mint's Jody Clark, and will be a limited mintage for the remainder of 2022. A new range of King Charles III Britannia coins will then be released in the new year.

The 2023 silver Britannia coin is legal tender coin in the UK, with a value of £500. It is exempt from capital gains tax. .

As an official partner of The Royal Mint, all of our brand-new coins come direct from their plant in Llantrisant, Wales.
