This is the first Silver Crown of George V. The Royal Mint struck the first of a new series of crowns known as the Christmas crowns as they displayed the Christmas wreath on the reverse. These are rare coins, issued only in Proof sets.

This George V Proof Crown features King George V Modified Bare Head on the obverse and a Crown and Date in Wreath on the reverse. Issued between 1927 - 1936 (except 1935), these silver crowns have become very desirable - a total of only 50,000 for all years together were struck.
