The Egyptian Relic Series is a collection of bullion silver coins minted by Scottsdale Mint for the Republic of Chad. Each coin in the series draws inspiration from Egyptian relics and ancient hieroglyphics. The 2021 Anubis 5oz silver coin features a hand-brushed antique finish and chiselled granite edges, evoking the aura of ancient Egypt.
Each coin contains 5oz of 999 pure silver, for an impressive-sized coin. The obverse side showcases the Republic of Chad coat of arms, along with inscriptions denoting the value of 3000 West African CFA francs, year of release, metal weight, type, and purity. On the reverse side, you'll find a depiction of Anubis against a backdrop of ancient hieroglyphics.
Anubis, the god of the afterlife in ancient Egyptian religion, is represented with the head of a jackal. He played a crucial role in protecting graves and determining who would be granted passage to the afterlife.
With a limited mintage of 5,000, these coins are expected to be in high demand. Please note this coin does not come in a box.
