Description

A 2024 Year of the Dragon 5oz silver coin. The Perth Mint are known for the beautiful design of their coins and the lunar series is always eagerly awaited by collectors. This year the design features a Chinese dragon breathing fire by Ing Ing Jong of the Perth Mint.

The dragon, symbolizing bravery, ambition, intelligence, and good fortune, influences those born in 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, and 2024. The reverse showcases a Chinese mythical dragon with stylized waves and fog, highlighting its elemental control. The design includes the Chinese character for 'dragon,' the inscription 'DRAGON 2024,' and the 'P125' mintmark, marking The Perth Mint's 125th anniversary. The obverse features the Jody Clark Memorial Obverse of Queen Elizabeth II, with details of her reign, the coin's weight, purity, and monetary denomination, while an authentication feature adds an extra layer of protection against counterfeiting.

This coin is Australian legal tender and features the Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse, a special 'P125' anniversary mintmark, and an authentication feature for added security.
