Description

The 2023 Amenhotep IV 2oz silver coin is part of the Egyptian Relic Series of coins produced by Scottsdale Mint for the Republic of Chad. The coin is given an antique effect and a chiselled edge.

Amenhotep IV (later known as Akhenaten) is infamous for the religious revolution that abandoned Egypt's polytheistic religion in favour of a monotheism (Atenism). His legacy was short-lived with his successor reverting the changes to Egypt's culture and attempting to erase all records of Akhenaten.

This series of coins is unlike any other bullion coin out there - it is quite a stunning object to hold and to look at. It is made from pure .999 silver and contains two troy ounces. These coins are clearly sought by collectors and sell out very quickly.
