Designed by Charis Tsevis, the coin features a mosaic artwork of a Team GB athlete and a ParalympicsGB athlete side by side against the full-colour backdrop of the Union flag which has been 'painted' directly onto the coin's surface. This special edition coin commemorates the UK's enduring legacy in both the Olympic and Paralympic movements, dating back to the 1896 Olympic Games and the 1948 Stoke Mandeville Games.

Produced in partnership with Team GB and ParalympicsGB, the 2024 Team GB proof fifty pence silver coin coin is an official tribute to the athletes' ongoing achievements and their inspirational impact on sports fans worldwide. It contains 8 grams of 925 Sterling Silver minted to a proof finish. It comes in a beautiful Royal Mint box and is accompanied by an informative booklet detailing the Games and British teams. Production of this 2024 Team Great Britain silver proof 50p has been limited to 5,000 presentation coins.
