The 2024 Tudor Dragon 2 x 1oz proof silver coin set is a part of The Royal Tudor Beasts Collection that pays tribute to the stone sculptures on the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace, which were commissioned by Henry VIII almost 500 years ago. The Tudor Dragon is the sixth coin in the collection and is a representation of the House of Tudor's welsh heritage.
The 2024 Tudor Dragon Proof 2-coin silver set features 2 x 1oz silver coins minted in 999 fine silver. Both bear the same design, created by collection artist David Lawrence, of a dragon holding a shield with the Tudor portcullis, which is based on the stone sculpture at Hampton Court Palace. They come as a beautiful complimentary set where one coin has a proof mirrored finish and the other a 'reverse frosted finish'. Both coins feature an edge inscription that reads "HAMPTON COURT PALACE ∙ ROYAL TUDOR BEASTS" and the set comes with a booklet that explores the history of the Dragon emblem in British heraldry.
This silver set has a limited production run of only 500 and is a unique and valuable addition to any collection as a symbol of the rich family history of the British Royal Family.
