Half Sovereign George VI 1937

No individual gold Half Sovereigns were issued during the reign of King George VI, instead the coins below were originally released as part of a four-coin set that also included the full Sovereign, Double Sovereign, and Quintuple Sovereign. Only 5,500 of these coins were minted, making them incredibly rare. The George VI Half Sovereign is therefore very much a collectors coin only, produced in Proof quality, and often sell above their metal value.
