Description

An uncirculated gold coin celebrating Fiji's Tenth Anniversary of Independence.

The Royal Mint was commissioned to make this coin back in 1980 to celebrate a decade of Fijian independence. Prince Charles was in attendance representing the Royal Family and as such it is he who features on the obverse of the coin.

The coin itself has been struck in 22-carat; it is 28.4mm diameter and weighs at 15.98 grams. The coin was limited to a mintage of around 500.
