Description

Minted 1343-54, this Gold Ducat from Venice features St. Mark presenting a banner to the kneeling Andrea Dandolo (Doge - Duke of Venice). On the reverse Christ stands holding Gospels with raised hand surrounded by mandorla and stars.

Graded to AU55 NEF (Near Extremely Fine) Slight wear on less than 50% of the design. Full details.
