A Latvian 100 Latu (or Lats) gold coin. This coin was struck in 1998, is 24-carat (999.9), and weighs 16.2g, making it slightly more than half a troy ounce of pure gold. These coins were issued by Latvia, but struck by the Mint of Finland.

It should not be confused with the 1993 100 Latu, which is also 24-carat, but only weighs 13.34g.
