Description

The 2023 tenth ounce Somalian African Elephant gold coin is a legal tender coin issued by the Somali Republic. The coin is struck from .9999 fine gold, weighing 0.1 troy ounce or 3.11 grams.

The obverse side of the coin features the Somalian coat of arms, which depicts two leopards, a shield and two spears, along with the year of mintage, and value of 100 shillings. The reverse side of the coin features a majestic African elephant pulling leaves off a tall branch, accompanied by the inscriptions "AFRICAN WILDLIFE" and "ELEPHANT" in addition to the weight and purity of the coin "1/10 oz Au 999.9".
