Description

250 Turkish Piastres (also known as Kurush) Gold coin struck in 22-carat gold. Mix of dates. Interestingly they are marked 1923 (the year that the Turkish Republic was founded) plus the number of years since then. Adding the two numbers gives the year of mintage. Text reads HAKIMIYET MILLETINDIR ANKARA and TURKIYE CUMHURIYETI.
