Description

The Royal Mint 2018 Lunar Year of the Dog One Ounce old Coin. This is the fifth in a series of coins produced by the Royal Mint to celebrate the Lunar new year. Each year features a cycle of twelve animals - 2018 is the turn of the Dog .

Designed by British Chinese artist Wuon-Gean Ho, this coin contains exactly one ounce of fine gold 24-carat. It has a face value of £100 and is usually provided in a plastic capsule - multiples may be provided in a tube. As British currency, it also carries the advantage of being CGT exempt for British investors.
