The second Queen Victoria gold Sovereign design first appeared in her Jubilee year of 1887 and continued until 1893. It should therefore come as no surprise that this sovereign is commonly referred to as the 'Jubilee Head'. The reverse of the coin has the standard George and Dragon design.
