The design is created in collaboration with John M. Mercanti the former Chief Engraver at the US Mint. The design brings together the two national icons, the British Lion and the America Eagle as a representation of the shared values and enduring bond between these 2 great nations.
The obverse of the 2025 Lion and Eagle 1oz gold coin features the King Charles III portrait by Martin Jennings and the coin's face value of £100 make it exempt from Capital Gains Tax (CGT) in the UK.
Provided in a plastic capsule. Larger quantities of 10 or more may be provided in Royal Mint tubes.
