Description

The enchanting 2026 The Snowman proof silver 50p coin from The Royal Mint.

The memorable and beloved Christmas story of The Snowman was published in 1978 before going on to be adapted into the iconic 1982 film. Its legacy has only grown over time, with this being the 9th occasion The Snowman has featured on a coin produced by The Royal Mint.

The reverse of the coin features a colour print of the famous character by the BAFTA-nominated animator and illustrator - Robin Shaw. In the design, The Snowman can be seen to be decorating a Christmas tree with the young boy. The obverse of the coin includes the official portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings.

The 2026 The Snowman proof silver 50p coin comes presented in bespoke packaging that recounts the story and how it came to be published. Production of this 2026 silver proof 50p has been limited to 3,500 sets.
