These coins are all made by The Royal Mint in 999.9 pure gold (24-carat) and weigh 1 troy ounce (31.1g). They are legal tender and have a face value of £100 and as such are Capital Gains Tax exempt, making them an excellent choice for investors looking for something different to the standard Britannia while keeping the tax advantages.

Myths and Legends Series:

The Royal Mint launches an exciting new series of 'Myths & Legends' celebrating great figures from British folklore. The series has so far centred around Robin Hood, King Arthur and Beowulf, with coins depicting key characters from each legend.

Lunar Series:

The Lunar series, also known as the Shengxiào Collection, started in 2014 with a Year of the Horse coin. Since then the Royal Mint has produced coins annually, representing the Sheep, Monkey, and Rooster.

Tudor Beast series:

The Tudor Beasts have been popular coins for The Royal Mint. The collection is based on the ten creatures that represent the various houses of King Henry VIII lineage and which line the moat bridge at Hampton Court Palace.
