The 2022 Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Proof Sovereign coin from The Royal Mint. As is standard for this series the coin will weigh 7.98 grams using 22-carat gold. This coin is struck to Proof quality for a highly detailed finish. The Memorial Sovereign has a maximum coin mintage of 23,160 coins across individual releases and sets.
The 2022 Memorial Proof Sovereign is the first of this iconic British coin series to feature the new King Charles III portrait by Martin Jennings. The reverse of each coin features a beautifully intricate depiction of the Royal Arms by Jody Clark, and marks the life and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
